No. The problem is that it immediatly errors out when the print job is
sent. I have sent a file to you with a picture of that. The print queue
states "Error-Printing." and has to be cancelled.
Firstly I would like to confirm what's the exact type, brand and model of
your printer? Please check whether it is in the HCL list:

It is not on the list, but it is a Panasonic KX-P5400 laser printer running
in Postscript mode and using the driver priveded with the operating system. I
have searched for a newer driver but there are no replacements.

If the legacy mode does not work, I suggest you install the latest deriver
for the printer.

I have, however, had it replaced the driver 2 or 3 times, with no change.
If the issue still happnes, please try following test:

1. Create a TXT file named 1.txt in c:\
2. Start-->Run, type cmd and click OK.
3. Run following command and check the result:

Copy c:\1.txt lpt1
Copy c:\1.txt lpt1 /b

NOTE: If the printer is not connected to LPT1, please change the port
number.

Please let us know if the 1.txt can be printed.
Did this, no change, still get the same errors and the printer does nothing.

Check the issue in a Clean Boot environment.

1. Click Start and Click Run, and in the "Open" line, type in "MSCONFIG"
(without the quotation marks) and click OK.
2. Under the Service tab, check "Hide All Microsoft Services", and then
click "Disable All" button. In this way, we can disable all the services
which belong to third-party programs.
3. Under the Startup tab, click "Disable All" button.

4. Click OK.
5. Choose Yes to restart the computer.
6. Check "Don't show this message or launch the system configuration
utility when Windows starts".
7. Please check if the issue persists.

NOTE: We can check on Normal Startup in the General tab to roll back to
Normal Mode after we get this issue resolved.
Did all of this no change.

Please also help to gather following information:

1. Log on SBS 2003 server locally, try to print a txt file from notepad,
what is the result?
Same error nothing from the printer.
2. If it is convenient, please connect a USB printer to the server and
check if it works.
I don't have a USB printer
3. If you connect the printer to another Windows 2003 based server, does it
work?
I don't have another 2003 server but it does work fine on a 2000 server.
4. Please turn on the print first, and then turn on the server to check if
the issue persists.
Doesn't seem to make a difference, problem remains.

5. Ensure that printer Event Logging is enabled:

a. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
b. On the File menu, click Server Properties, and then click the Advanced
tab.
c. To turn on spooler error event logging to the system log file, click to
select or clear the "Log spooler error events" check box.
d. To turn on spooler warning event logging to the system log file, click
to select or clear the "Log spooler warning events" check box.
e. To turn on spooler information event logging to the system log file,
click to select or clear the "Log spooler information events" check box.
f. Either restart the spooler service or restart the server.
g. Check if there are any error logged in event log.
Done and I am sending you, by email, the event logs after the restart

6. Please download the MPS Report tool from the following link and run it
on the SBS server, then send the generated CAB file to my mailbox
v-mzhuan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx for further investigation so that we can find what
the root cause is:
