Re: fwsrv stops responding

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Do a search on www.eventid.net for Event ID 14079. There are quite a few
possibilities with links to the relevant KBs.

Over the span of a few days I get error 14079 multiple times until finally
the entire sbs stops responding to all requests and stops passing traffic
to
machines on the internal network.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft ISA Server Control
Event Category: None
Event ID: 14079
Date: 9/5/2007
Time: 10:45:48 PM
User: N/A
Computer: JEFFERSON
Description:
Due to an unexpected error, the service fwsrv stopped responding to all
requests. Stop the service or the corresponding process if it does not
respond, and then start it again. Check the Windows event Viewer for
related
error messages.

This is the only error I see is the one above.

When this occurs, all attempts to interact with the service (stopping and
restarting) hang. I have SP 3 for ISA installed on the SBS 2003 R2 server
and have run the BPA without any significant results.

Any ideas?
