Did you try to connect to the Vista computer using RWW? Does it work? Is the update for Vista and Outlook 2007 installed on the server? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9BF2F1E4-1B2C-471B-A284-E0C8C169FAC3&displaylang=en

Do you have any other security applications running on the Vista (antivirus)? If yes, try disabling them and see what happens. Do you get a response from 'ping' if you use the IP address of the computer?

I have a Microsoft SBS R2 server and cannot connect to a computer running
Vista Business via terminal services, or offer remote assistance. I cannot
ping it either.

The Vista computer can see & access shared files & folders on domain
computers

I have enabled remote desktop, and have allowed the programs

file & printer sharing
network discovery
remote assistance
remotedesktop

through on the Vista computer firewall, & I have designated the domain
network as 'private'

I can ping etc. other computers on the domain running XP professional SP2

please suggest troubleshooting steps
