Re: mydocuments missing after logff logon sbs2003 win xp

In continuation :O

Method 2: Please configure folder redirection to a different location from
the roaming profile path.

I actually disabled the one "problem" roaming profile, and as of today,
documents are staying put.

The particular user has two shared folders on the server, one under
//sever/users/username, and another at //sever/username/workfiles. The
entire time the items in my documents were disapeering everything in the
second shared folder //sever/username/workfiles stayed put... Just thought
you might want to know this.

To change roaming profile location, please open Server Management console,
locate on Users node, double click the user account, select Profile tab,
in
the Profile path box, input a different shard folder

Note: Ensure the user account has full permission of this new shared
folder.

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
kindly help me collect some information for further investigation:

1. Do you enable roaming profile for all user accounts?

Yes

2. Please try to logon this client computer with another domain user
account, do you get the same issue?

Nope.

3. Please try to logon another client computer with this problematic user
account, do you get the same issue?

Nope.

4. Please try to create a new user account on SBS. Do you get the same
issue?

Nope, have made 2 users, one power user, one standard user, and all their
documents redirecting fine.

5. Gather MPS network report on SBS:

Sending after this post.

a. Download MPSrepot_network from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE

b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe on the server box.

c. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure
will
take 10~15 minutes.

d. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder:
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\

e. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
