Well I could say it's all about Mars and Venus but there are other "Mars"
people in the group that don't fancy ISA. So I don't get away with that
story. I myself am a big believer in ISA.
Yes, it is "that" easy - disable and rerun CEICW.
You didn't specify how many users are in HQ and you also didn't specify if
that 857 box is the ONLY connection to the outside world. But with 6 remote
clients coming in on the VPN plus the local clients you will run into
performance issues with the 857 and you should probably look at the 870
series.
If the only reason for the VPN is that software that runs on a TS box, I
wouldn't bother with VPN at all. Configure their Outlook over HTTP and have
them use RWW to connect to the TS. This is much more efficient and very
secure.

Thank you for the help. with two answers saying different things i will
explain in more detail the situation i have. i rolled out a new SBS 2003
for
one of my clients this is to replace a 2000 server. i always multihome my
servers as i believe in this being the better way forward for most of
servers
we provide. However this client has just opened a second branch office so
we
vpn the 6 client PCs from branch office to head office. the software we
are
running is based on a "raining data corp" platform using terminal
services.
the software house dont like the way our server is set up requesting that
i
reconfigure the server to single NIC and the site to site the two 857
cisco's. i have the system running fine and am in doubt if their config is
any better. NIC of the server 10.10.20.0 and 192.168.1.0 branch office
10.10.10.0. is removing one NIC really that simple as you say Lanwench?
.
