Terence - I'm in the process of reinstalling SharePoint per KB829114.
However, while under Componet Progess a window poped up Titled (Insert
Windows Small Business Server 2003 Disc C:\ClientApps) stating:
Insert Windows Small Business Server 2003 Disc C:ClieantApps or point to the
location where the Windows Small Business Server Setup files may be foud.
path:
I have pointed the path to C:\ClientApps and when I click ok nothing
happens. I have also pointed to Disc 3 d:\SBS\CLIENTAPPS and when I click ok
nothing happens. Any clue????

Hello Ralph,.
Thank you for your kind update.
From your application log, I can see some many event errors 1000 about
sharepoint.
Only from the current situation, I'm not ensure whether we can resolve this
issue by reinstall the companyweb. However, if you like, we can try to
reinstall companyweb to see if it help. Please perform the steps in the
following KB to reinstall companyweb on SBS:
How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server 2003
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114
If the reinstallation unable to resolve this issue, we may still need to
perform the steps in my previous reply.
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!

| Terence – I really don’t care about saving the companyweb info. Can
I just
| reinstall SharePoint without touching anything else on the server and
start
| the companyweb database from scratch? I know that my problem is that the
| service MSSQ$SHAREPOINT does not start, but maybe the re-installation
also
| installs the MSDE portion as well?
