Hi Tom:

Look at the following and post back if this doesn't help.

Hello,

I've got a serious problem with a Vista client. The Notebook has a
computer
account in the new domain. DNS and IP settings are correct, DNS points to
the
SBS machine (and XP clients work without any problems, already tried
DHCP).

When Vista starts up, it takes about 15 min until it shows the
STRG-ALT-DEL
message. After entering the password, it takes another 15 min until the
desktop appears.

There are no errors in Vista's eventvwr, but two warnings: The winlogon
notification subscriber <GPClient> is taking long time to handle the
notification event [winlogon or CreateSession]. The IDs are 6005 and 6006,
but they appear to be unexplained in this context/with this source.

The server is a SBS 2003 R2 with the latest patches (inkl. the SBS
Compatibility Patch for Outlook 2007 and Vista), the notebook runs Vista
Business. It already ran in a SBS domain without problems, but this was
not a
R2)

It seems as if there were a lot of people with this issue, but I did not
find a solution.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom.
