We are using McAfee Total Protection for Small Business Advanced.
I have re-run the CEICW wizard and selected all the options and it has gone through ok.
Although, I did get an error in the firewall section (red x) when I ran it in the past.
Is there a way to check if the internal firewall of SBS has disabled or blocked port 25.
Where do we go from here.
connection is reaching you. Given the cost and the time this is taking
to resolve, it might easily be worth buying one of the older Netgear
DG834 models. While it's not the most reliable of machines (are any?),
it can certainly log port accesses.
Can you get another computer onto the network between the SBS and
router? Add a small hub/switch if your router doesn't have a spare
network port. Telnet from there to establish once and for all whether
SBS is set up correctly for SMTP.
This is also a good place for visitors to plug laptops when they need
Internet access but you don't want them on your LAN, so it's worth
leaving it set up permanently.
