Hello Purtech,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
I am sorry for the delay response due to the weekend.
To modify GAL, GALMOD is a tool that comes with the Exchange resource kit
which can accomplish. Outlook does not support this feature.
The steps in the article to delegate control is only for the attributes
that domain users are not allowed to change by default, the delegation is
not required if the users want to modify the following attributes:
o Address
o City
o Business Phone Number
o State
o Fax
o Home Phone Number
o Mobile Phone Number
o Notes
o Office
o Pager
o Zip Code .
If you have Domain Administrator permissions, you can modify the following
fields:? Assistant
? Company
? Country
? Department
? Title
Please let me know which information you need to modify in GAL and I need
to test on my side.

I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
