Hi Steve,

If you're using IP address, the ConnectComputer Wizard won't work. This
is
a known issue.

You receive an error message when you try to join your computer to a
Windows Small Business Server 2003 domain
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838431/en-us

Please post the ipconfig /all result on both your server and a client
computer here. For more info about SBS Connection settings, please see:

There're some other KB articles for your reference;

"The following user settings are private" error message when you try to
migrate a user's profile to Windows Small Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886210/en-us

A static IP address may not be assigned to a new server that has
uppercase
characters in its name in Windows Small Business Server 2003

"The list of users and computers could not be found" error message during
client network configuration in Windows Small Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837369/en-us

In addition, please let me know:

1. You said "when i type in the server/connectcomputer it dosent work".
What's the symptom?
2. Is there any error message?

Thanks for your time and we look forward to your update.

Sincerely,
