SusanV:
Thank you for being so understanding in my lack of knowledge on SBS 2003.
Your help is greatly appreciated and has cured my problem.
Thanks,

Yes - in fact, on the server, right-click the drive and select properties,.
then go to the Quota tab. Towards the bottom click on "Quota Entries" and
you can see how much space each user has filled of his/her quota. You can
also edit individual users to allow certain individuals bigger quotas or
whatever.

SusanV:
Do I understand you right that the 3 Gb quota for this user is 3 Gb
accross
the hard drive no matter how many files or folders the files maybe in?
Thanks,

Quotas are based on the drive, not the folder.

Stephen & SusanV:
Thanks for the suggestions on quotas. I have checked and have found
the
following:
1) quotas are on and set for 3 Gb for disk space with the warning level
of
2.83 Gb.
2) the folder in question has only 148 Kb of data in it
3) the file size trying to be saved is only 85 Kb
Are quotas meassured on how much data is in the folder, or how much
data
places in a single folder, or is it how much data a user places on the
entire hard drive irregardless of folder?
You time and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
FatMan

Hi all:
I have a SBS 2003 and one of my users are getting the error message
"Disk
Full" on a disk that has 300 Gb of free space. This error message
is
showing
up when he goes to save an excel file to a folder he created a day
or
two
ago. He has already saved files to this folder. I am new to
SBS....but I
have looked at the security of the folder and "everyone" and "users"
have
full control on the folder.
Can anyone pelase tell me what would be preventing him from saving
to
this
folder?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
FatMan
User disk quotas are 1GB by default on SBS. You can switch them off
entirely by selecting the quota tab in the properties of the drive.
