Re: Automatic Updates on XP Client Failing
Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry
Try running the update from the browser using
http://update.microsoft.com
See if the update succeeds or not. If not, the browser should display an
error code. Post that error code here

I have a new SBS 2003 Prem environment set up and included in that are
about
10 XP pro clients. One of those clients is failing to install updates
issues
by WSUS. When I manually go to that client and select the icon in the
system
tray to install updates (there are about 40 updates to install) all seems
to
work fine until all of the sudden the follow-up message box appears
telling
me that updates could not be installed for any of the updates in the list
(it
shows me the list). When I look in the Event Viewer there is no
indication
of the failures.
This client is running Trend Micro CSM and clear of any
viruses/spam/malware. Not sure what to do next to get this client up to
date
with the latest MS updates.
Thanks!
