Hi,
This what I have found out and done.
The ISP assures me that they have not blocked port 25 although this is a
home account.
Internal mail flows ok.
Telnet port 25 does not work.
Router is configured to forward port 25 to correct ip address.
If the router forwards TCP 25 to the servers INTERNAL FIXED IP address,
then you've either got the server configured wrong or the ISP is really
blocking SMTP inbound. Are you sure you're forwarding TCP 25 to the
"INTERNAL FIXED IP" of the server?
Have you re-run the wizard to setup email.
Is there a chance that a third party has blocked port 25 on their fixed ip
address or the previous it people may have blocked this port internally in
the server.
Yes, but only if you've installed "third party" software on the server
or block SMTP (TCP 25) in the Windows firewall.
Are you running any AV, Firewall, Security software on the server? If
so, what specifically - exact names.
