even with update dell drivers, which did fix some broadcom errors some users
at places reported a 5 second delay on network apps.
I visted broadcom website for updated drivers and these seemed to perform
better.

Ringo,
Is TOE enabled on the MB ? If so, shut it down and open the case. In the
middle of the board you will see a cream coloured 'plug' (for want of a
better word). It should have a green RJ11 connector on it. Pull this plug
out
(depress the catch and it should pull out like a phone plug). Now reboot
and
enter the BIOS. You should now see that TOE is disabled - don't know why
Dell
offer this on SBS, it's just overkill IMO. With TOE disabled you should
now
have no problems. If you do, then Dell should be able to talk you through
the
problem or offer you a free Intel twin Nic or equivalent (this is a known
issue and if ISA is struggling with the Broadcoms then Dell have knowingly
sold you a server which is not fit for purpose). Try that and post back.
Regards Colin.

I had a Dell 2900 with Broadcom nics and ISA 2004 that worked fine.
Even with old nic drivers.
You need to post your errors and the log that the connect to the
internet wizard made.

Hi All,
A client's server crashed, we've ordered a new one...a Dell
PowerEdge
2900 with Broadcom Dual Broadcom NICS & SBS Premium R2. We've
been
trying to get the Broadcom NICS to work properly with ISA with
absolutely no success.
I have read the threads where people have been having problems
the
Broadcom Nics with ISA. But last thread post was back in
February
2007.
Has there been any updates and fixes since regarding this
matter? Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
I just tried your suggestion with no success. Uninstalled the nics,
then re-installed them with the new Dell drivers and ISA still gave
me
an error when trying to use the CIECW. Even tried the Broadcom
drivers from their website with no success.
Here is the previous thread with people experiencing the same
problem:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs/br...
I figured by now this problem would have been resolved. But I dont
see any fixes yet. Anyone else have any ideas?

Thank you both for your responses. I will re-attempt this. How do I
NOT install TOE when the drivers are installed?
I thought there was a jumper on the motherboard to enable or disable
TOE. When I called Dell whining about Broadcom they looked at the
order sheet and told me that Toe was not enabled.
