Hi Merv,

I will bounce the box tonight, have run the update service and no joy.
Some months ago the exchange fell over due to size and MS assisted with
the recovery there, users have been added since then with no issues at
all.

mailbox .. come out come out wherever you are!!

I'm also wondering about that "red mark" on the recovery store. I don't
think it should be there. Was there an attemot to restore any mailboxes
or the entire Exchange Information Store?

Hi Merv,

There is nothing in the recovery store [it does have the red mark on it]
running SP2. The user does have the correct email address assigned to
them. Event logs are clean also. I ran the CEICW and the mailbox failed
to show up in storage group.

As I mentioned before I have sent email to the user and it hasn't
bounced back .. this is weird!!

And have you re-run CEICW?

Hi Merv,

I have tried deleting the profile, but no luck. The problem seems to
be in the fact that user mailbox is not showing up in the exchange
storage group.

Do either of these apply:

You Receive an Error Message After You Upgrade to Outlook 2003 If the
Pocket PC Device Is in the Cradle
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831019

You may receive a "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook" error message when
you start Outlook 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822503

Also, have you tried deleting the (old) Outlook profile and creating
a new one for the affected user?

microsoft office outlook. Unable to open the outlook window. The set
of folders could not be opened."

outlook will open fine for other users on the same machine, but just
not for this user

Did you try to log in with the new user account on a workstation
before you use RWW?

Hi all,

I hope that you can help here. The customer has 2003 SP1 standard
fully patched. The problem seems that when a user is created no
mailbox appears in the Exchange. I have deleleted the account,
added a test account and no mailbox is created. I have sent
emails to both users and I have not received any bounce message.
I have bounced the box, restarted the IS and still the same.

The users were created using the wizard and on their accounts they
have all the Exchange related applets. I have tried to login via
RWW and when I try to use OWA I get a service not available
message. I logon with a user that shows their mailbox in Exchange
and no issue there.

Where are you mailbox ........
