RE: Receiving notification on exchange storage limits

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,

Besides my previews suggestion, another workaround for this is to manually
set a Server based role in user's Outlook profile and then once the user
gets this kind of warning message, they can automatically forward the
message to your Exchange Admin or any other specified user by this role.

1: Create a Mailbox-enabled account (Temporary use only)
2: Login to a client machine with this account.
3: Open the Outlook and create the Outlook profile for this account.
4: Choose Tools menu, then Rules and Alerts option
5: Click New Rule, then chose Start creating a rule from a template
6: In step1, select the option for "with specified words in body" and keep
other options unchecked. In step 2, click the "specified words" and in its
interface,
type the specified words which will appear in the warning message such as
"storage limit", 'Your mailbox is over its size limit'.
(You can copy the key words from the warning message.)

7: Click Next, then still in step1, choose the option "forward it to people
or distribution group" and keep other options unchecked.
8: In Step 2, click "people or distribution group" and choose the email
account who this message will be forwarded to.

9: Then click Finish to finish this wizard.

Then, once this user gets the warning message about his mailbox size, this
message will be automatically forward to your Exchange Admin or others by
this role.

After these steps, we can export this rule to a .rwz file and send it to
your end users.

1. Click Option on the top.
2. Click Export and input the name.
3. Click Save.

Then ask your end users to import this rule into their Outlook profile and
enable this rule. When any of your end users receive the warning message,
it will be automatically forward it to the specified user by this role.

Hope this helps.

If you have any concern on this issue, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

<Hi Tony,
<
<I made research on this issue, we cannot get the aim on Exchange side. But
<one way would be to create an outlook rule to auto forward that message to
<you when they receive it, but each user would have to do this.
<
<To do this:
<
<1. Open Outlook.
<2. Right click Inbox and select New Folder.
<3. Input name From Account and click OK.
<4. Click Tools\Rules and Alerts.
<5. On the E-mail rules tab, click New rule.

<7. Select Check Massege when they arrive and click Next.
<8. Select from People or distribution list, input the sender. Click Next.
<9. Select Forward it to people or distribution list, input the
