| Terence,
|
| I apologize for taking so long to respond and update you on my
| progress. Your suggestions were excellent and as I read through I
| realized I could not apply the SP3 because SQL 2000 installer stated
| that a more current service pack was already installed. What I need
| to do was run SP4 again (The service pack which was already installed)
| to update the Free Text component that was most recently installed,
| but had not been updated by SP4.
|
| I ran SP4 again on my SQL 2000 DB, pointed to the SharePoint DB and
| when it completed I went back to Sharepoint Central admin an the Free
| Text Search was available to activate.
|
| Just as a suggestion, this should be added to the self help docs
| online
|
| "Please apply SP3 to your SQL 2000 DB after updgrade from MSDE to
| SQL. If you have a more current SP installed on SQL you must rerun
| that SP (not SP3) to update your most current additions to your DB"
|
| THANKS!!!!!!!
|
| Ryan
