Yes, I've kept around a USB floppy drive for the last several years for just such install situations. The good news is this all goes away with Server 2008 and future versions of SBS. The bad news is, it's an ever increasing problem on SBS2003, since even low end servers with SATA RAID controllers need it.

ran into this over the weekend on an HP Proliant ML 310 G2
Went to Best Buy, got the generic "Dynex" brand USB floppy drive, worked like a charm...$60

If you are installing SBS from DVD using nLite or other methods to
slipstream a driver can be quite complicated. If you're installing from CD
it's simple and quick. You only need to slipstream the first CD. If you
install servers or any versions of Windows older than Vista and Longhorn do
yourself a favour and get a USB floppy drive. Not all USB floppy drives work
though. Some will not get past the point where you are now. Here are some
tips if that happens.
