Re: Disabling Add-Ons via Group Policy Allowed Add-On list not working

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I am glad to know the problem is resolved.

Please let me know how you get the CLSID of Shockwave Flash Object. I test
in the following way, that's {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}. But I
am not sure they are the same in different edition of Flash.

1. Open the Website in IE.
2. Click View on the menu bar and then select source.
3. In the notepad, click Edit and then select Find.
4. Input CLSID and click OK.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you have any concerns on this issue, please don't hesitate to let me
know.

Have a nice day.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)

<Thanks Robert
<
<I was using the CLSID i found on a webpage and putting that into the
<Add-On list for shockwave flash object that was in teh webpage. This

<one is the Shockwave Active X control and Shockwave Flash Object.

<The CLSID {166B1BCA-3F9C-11CF-8075-444553540000} did not disable my
<Shockwave Active X Contol, so therefore I hunted around the web for
