I think Tony's system was preSP1 media and updated to SP1 via download (or CD) in which case he needs to expand the SP1 files and point to them.

Either Susan or the M&M's (probably both) have instructions, I'll try to search but need to leave for work soon.

If I recall correctly when SBS 2003 SP1 was released it wasn't available through download. You had to order the CD's. So make sure you are inserting Disk 3 from the original OEM disks.

Sorry did not make my self clear, when I said SP1 disk i ment it's from the orginal OEM disk set that included SP1
the problem seems to be that the server believes disk 3 is not of a set that has SP1 however this was the orginal OEM disk set!

This is on the same hardware correct? It needs to be if you have an OEM version of SBS 2003. Well Im unfamiliar that SBS 2003 requires SP1 to configure and enable monitoring. But according to your post it does appear you need to have SBS 2003 SP1as well as W2K3 sp1 installed. The Premium Disk 3 is not SP1.

I have a problem on a clients site where I can not setup monitoring.

I have been through countless KB articles with no joy so am posting here.
The setup runs and gets to the point of asking for disk 3 however when the OEM disk is inserted
an error presents itself telling me that it requires the SP1 version of SBS 03 (which is the disk in the drive at that time.
I have downloaded an ISO of disk 3 from MSDN to see if a new disk works but I still have the same problem!

Any thoughts would be greatly recieved!

Tony
