And if you don't know the local admin account and follow Merv's steps, check
under the local users what name is used for the local admin AND reset the
password to something you will know. Otherwise you will not be able to log
in after moving it to the workgroup (been there don't that will never do
again experience *G*).

Hi James,

Log onto the workstation as a domain admin, then log off (or reboot) and
try the user's logon credentials again.

If this doesn't work, rejoin the workstation to the domain:

1. Log in the Client workstation as Local administrator account. Right
click My Computer, go to Properties, Computer Name tab, and click Change.
(If you do not have the Local administrator account, please log in a
domain admin account).

2. Select Workgroup to manually move your client workstation off the SBS
domain.

3. Click OK twice.

4. Log off and log on using the local administrator account.

5. Open IE, type http://<servername>/connectcomputer

6. Follow the wizard to finish, and see whether this issue will occurs
again.

I have used the Computer and User wizard to setup a computer and I ran the
setup from IE to get the computer joined to the domain. Now whenever the
user
logs into the computer I get the following error message:

"Client Setup could not remove a special account created to migrate user
settings from the previous user of this computer. Contact the person
responsible."

Since I'm the person responsible, I need to know how to correct this
issue.

Server: SBS 2003 SP2
Client: XP Pro SP2
User Security: Domain user; local computer administrator

Thanks.
