Thanks for the extra info, I will probably try with the DynDNS IP and if I
get any problems look into getting a static IP as well.

When you register your new domain (e.g. mydomain.com) and you want your MX
record to use the 'mydomain.com' name, you'll need a static IP address.
If you want to keep the dynamic IP address, you'll have to keep on using
the dyndns.com address as your MX record with Exchange. The only problem I
see with that is that there are servers that block emails that come from a
mail server that users a dynamci IP address.

Thanks both........... I already have an account with DynDNS and can
access RWW, OWA etc, but I plan to register my own domain name to allow
me to then host my own email (and get rid of the POP3 connector I am
currently using).

Thanks again.

Yes you can use a dynamic IP for your server by using an appropriate DNS
service (e.g. dyndns.com ). The MVP Merv Porter just posted the
following link half hour ago

That will help

Can I still use Exchange as my SMTP mail server if I only have a
dynamic IP address? I plan to have a registered domain name, but unless
I have to will keep a dynamic IP. Once I register a domain name, even
with a dynamic IP will I then be able to access:

https://myregistereddomainname/remote

And finally, can anyone point me to some good articles for setting up
MS Exchange?

Thanks.
