Re: RWW - Terminal Services Active X Web Client

Found it. Somehow the ActivXadd-on was disabled in IE. I downloaded the new
RDP client and was notified in IE to go to the add-ons and enable the RDP TS
ActiveX add-on,

That fixed it.

Hi Confused,

I am the Administrator as well as a SBSP. This is my own personal laptop
that I've built like all of my other previous computers. This is the first
time this has ocurred and I don't know why.

So, to my specific question, is there a way to directly download the ActiveX
control for the RWW so that I can install it manually rather than through the
ActiveX notification I am getting.

Thanks,

Andrew

Andrew,
It requires Internet Explorer - does not work with Firefox, Opera, Netscape,
etc. Does not work on Mac OS/OSX.
Is it possible that your system administrator may have restricted your
ability to install ActiveX controls?
Of have you set the Security level in Internet Explorer to block ActiveX
controls?
Hope this helps.

On my laptop, I am having an issue when conencting to the RWW. Once I am
in
the RWW, and click on Connect to Client Desktops, I get the Pop Up:

"This portion of the RWW requires the Microsoft Remote Desktop ActiveX
COntrol. Your browser's security settings may be preventing you from
downloading the ActiveX controls. Adjust these settings, and try to
connect
again."

I then get the drop down from under the menu bar saying:

"This website wants to run the following add-on: 'Terminal Services
ActiveX
Client' from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the
add-on and want to allow it to run, click here ..."

When I choose to Run ActiveX Control, it doesn't download or install it as
it has on all my previous computers.

Is there a direct download I can get so that I can get this working?

Thanks,

Andrew
