Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here.
From your post, I understand that companyweb does not work on the SBSserver. If I have misunderstood your concern, please feel free to correct
me.
This issue can be caused by several factors. I suggest you try following
steps to see if it works:
Suggestion 1: Re-running CEICW on SBS server:
=============================
Let's re-run CEICW to reset the network configuration. Please refer to
following article to do this.
How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825763/en-us
If it does not help, please install the following update and see how things
go from there:
Critical Update for Windows Small Business Server 2003 (KB832880)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=CB7E90A1-DE9D-4A83-
85F8-951E9F055BF0&displaylang=en
Suggestion 2: Reinstall companyweb
=========================
For detailed steps about reinstalling of Companyweb, please refer to the
Microsoft Web site:
829114 How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server
2003 SharePoint Services Companyweb Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114
Additional information:
How to perform a disaster recovery operation of SharePoint Services
Companyweb and SharePoint Services Databases
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;827701
I hope the above information is helpful to you. However, if the issue
persists, please help me gather following information:
1. When opening companyweb, is there any error message received?
2. If you try to access http://YourServerName, can the page be opened?
3. Please send me the log files under the following path:
\Program Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server 2003\Logs
4. Please enable the IIS log, reproduce the issue and then send the IIS log
to me. To do so:
a. Open IIS MMC, right click Default Web Site and then click Properties.
b. Click Website tab and then check Enable logging.
c. Click Properties button. On Advanced tab, check all check boxes. On
General tab, you can find the path for IIS logfile.
By default, the IIS log files are located in c:\windows\system32\logfiles.
5. Please send me the IIS Metabase. You can collect Metabase by using
mbexplorer.
a. Install MBExplorer by installing IIS 6 Resource Kit Tools:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=56FC92EE-A71A-4C73-
B628-ADE629C89499&displaylang=en.
b. Once it is installed, access it from Start, Programs, IIS Resources,
Metabase Explorer.
c. In the left pane, right click ''LM'' (under your server computer name)
to choose ''Export to file'', and then save it as SBSIIS.mbk.
d. Compress this mbk file and send it to me
6. Please download the MPS Report tool from the following link and run it
on the exchange server, then send the generated CAB file to my mailbox
v-mzhuan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx for further investigation so that we can find what
the root cause is:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know.
It's my pleasure to be of assistance.
Best regards,
