Sharepoint 3.0

Hello All,

I have an SBS2003 Server and I upgraded to Sharepoing 3.0. the upgrade was
fine. I need to know how to configure my new share point site to be accessed
via a name i.e. (http:\\newsite) like the old companyweb site was. I have to
now have to type in the full name (i.e.
http:\\servername:port\sites\intranet\default.aspx)

Any Help is appreceiated
