Backup stopped working after second tape drive installed

Hi

We ran out of capacity on our DAT72 backup drive so we installed an external
Ultrium 2 tape drive. I disabled the internal DAT 72 drive in device manager
to avoid conflict with the new U2 drive. I set-up the backup via Backup
Configuration in Server Management. The problem is that backup works once
and then it does not work the next day or the following days even though the
drive is visible in the device manager. After restarting the server the
backup again works once and then same problem again.

What is the problem and how can I fix it?
