RE: companyweb error "incorrect parameters"

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

After I reinstalled the IIS,I Performed a reinstall from the setup cd of the
intranet.

It didn't recreate the companyweb on IIS, but It did show Default, both
Sharepoint
sites.

I tried to recreate the companyweb site in IIS. Since the folders and the
files are still in place.

But nope.

I also notice that on another SBS03se server, I have the same problem. I
remember a similar insident also a year ago with the companyweb, and I was
able to fix it.

Maybe removing IIS was unwise but whats done is done. I don't want to have
to reinstall SBS03.

Hello Customer,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you get error when you try
to access companyweb on SBS. If I have misunderstood the problem, please
don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I think the companyweb may be corrupted by some
causes. I would suggest using the following steps to reinstall companyweb
and see how the things will go.

How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server 2003
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829114

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
kindly help me collect some information for further investigation:

1. Please capture screenshots on the error messages and send the pictures
to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

2. Gather MPS network report:

a. Download MPSrepot_network from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE

b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe on the server box.

c. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure will
take 10~15 minutes.

d. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder:
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\

e. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
