RE: Sharepoint Users

Hello Phil,

Thank you for posting here. And thanks for Russ's input.

According to your description, I understand that you want to know whether
you can delete the users:

Administrator Template
Mobile use Template
Power User Template
User Template
Lol\Administrator

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I do not suggest you delete these users from SBS.
They are all useful.

Note: These user accounts are not used for sharepoint. They are not
sharepoint users.

1. We are not able to delete administrator user from SBS. When you try to
delete the user, you will get error message "Windows cannot delete object
Administrator because: Cannot perform this operation on built-in accounts".
This user is a built-in user account. It has highest permission in SBS
system. If you do not need to use this account, you can disable it.

2. For the all Template users in SBS, they are all disabled by default.
There is no safe issue with them. The all Template user accounts are used
as template to create a new user account. When you run Add User Wizard to
create a new user account, you can select a user template to define new
user settings. It is easy for you to create a new user account. Therefore,
I do not suggest you delete the Template User accounts.

I hope the info will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
