Re: vpn connection communication

Hi Seanny,

It would really help a lot if you can say which exact article you have been
using for setting up the site to site vpn.

Thank you both for your input. I've spent the better part of an hour
going through all that. I didn't think the response to my query would
be so ... involved.

Here's where I am now. On Marina's suggestion I added the VPN pools to
sites and service (before I read your post SG) and it still didn't work.
It is entirely possible that I added them to the wrong sites. I will
have to go and check them. I am, however, getting events indicating
routes through "network adapter ... that do not correlate with the
network to which this network adapter belongs...(yadayadayada)".
Specifically, the event id is 14147. The part that has confused me
(and still does) is that this error is getting thrown by Microsoft
Firewall and there is no mention of sites and services in the log. I
can post the entire message if it would help.

I need more time to go through the route print output so I can't verify
the routes but after glancing at it I don't see any routes that would
connect the vpn client to the remote site. I'm also not sure about the
default gateway setting. Which "connectoid" would I look in? The
'Internal' interface or the 'remoteOffice' interface in RRAS?

Thanks again,

Sean

I love my job.
