Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here. And thanks for Brian's inputs.
According to your description, I understand that you publish a internal web
site thru SBS, you can access the web site from internal via
http://xxx.domain.com, but you have to access the web site via
http://xxx.domain.com/default.aspx from external. If I have misunderstood
the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
First, please let me know that:
1. What's edition of your SBS?
2. Do you install ISA server on your SBS? What's edition of your ISA?
3. Do you have 1 or 2 NIC of your SBS?
I guess you publish the internal web site thru ISA server 2004, if I am
right, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can resolve this
issue:
1. Please open ISA 2004 console on SBS
2. Extend to Firewall Policy node
3. Double click the web publishing rule you created for the web site
4. Click Paths tab, click Add button
5. Inpute "/*" (without quotation mark), click OK
6. Click OK and then click Apply to save the configuration.
Then, test this issue.
If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
kindly help me collect some information for further investigation:
What error do you get when you access http://xxx.domain.com/ from external?
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
