Lanwench, excuse me for reposting the same issue, but my google groups
page didn't show my original post until now!! Thank you for your
precious help,

I'm pwecious!

I will immediately correct my configuration.

About DHCP, considering I prefer to assign static IPs, I understood to
disable the ENTIRE service, so also dns dynamic updates will be gone
without negative effects, correct?

Should work, yes.
About forwarders, my routers acts like SuperGumpy said, so I will keep
using the router address as the only forwarder, but I will also try
the alternative option.

If you have problems, change it, but if it works using the router as a forwarder, fine. I don't think it's going to be as reliable, myself.

I once had a router, an Alcatel 510 I think, which failed to make a
fairly small number of lookups correctly. A records seemed to be OK,
along with most MX and www, and it would get all of them if explicitly
asked for 'ALL'. I'm not saying how long it took me to work out what was
happening.

I wouldn't trust a cheap router to do DNS unless I knew for sure it was
using decent software, and space is usually at a premium in that class
of product.
