SBS Faxing on shared telephone line

Hi everyone,
I am working on a SBS2k3 server, with the fax service configured.
There aren't any issues with receiving the fax or sending it, but the
telephone line that is used for the SBS server's modem is also being
utilized for a Lanier fax.
So, two faxes exist on one telephone line. I configured the SBS to
pick up the fax after 1 ring, and the Lanier fax machine is configured
to pick up after 6 rings. The problem is that, the Lanier fax always
prints the fax, even though the SBS fax service already picked it up.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? And furthermore, has
anyone had this setup work in my desired fashion (i.e. -- two faxes
sharing a line, with preference given to SBS server)?
Thank you in advance,
Conzetti
.
