activation woes

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

i have a huge problem. I've noticed when logging in to server 2003 it
eventual freezes on me. so i checked the logged fills to see that
there was an error with windows activation. so i ran the activation
wizard only to see a message stating that windows is already
activated. this is a new instillation without sp1 nor is it RC2 any
suggestions
