hi, just a side note
why would the 192.168.0.x network be the outside one ?? our network is also
192.168.0.x since i don't remember when.
our network is 192.168.0.x internal and 10.x.x.x external. what are the
default settings ??
192.168.0.0/16 - This block is set aside for use in private networks.
Its intended use is documented in [RFC1918]. Addresses within this
block should not appear on the public Internet.quote from rfc 3330please
note that i am asking out of curiosity.thank you for clearing this

Just curious as to why you set them up the oposite of the defaultone
Typicall 16.2 would be the internal nic and the 0.1 would be the outside
device?
So does this DSL router connect directly to the internet or another
update

We're using SBS 2003 R2 standard edition. The internal NIC (192.168.0.1)
is
connected to our switch, the external NIC (192.168.16.2) is hooked into
our
DSL Router (192.168.16.1)

We have a SBS server 2003 R2 that is giving me some problems with
CEICW.
Windows Update services has stopped working and will not restart
because
CEICW gives me an error and will not complete.
(Previosuly, CEICW worked fine; I just changed an e-mail setting and
re-ran
the wizard and it fails on the network settings. No network changes
have
been
made though.) The server is connected to the internet using the 2 NIC
configuration, all users can fully function etc, only Windows Update
services
seems to have an issue.
I can't find anything on the referenced error code in the icwlog.txt
and
hope someone else has seen it before.
