Hello Cris
The 2nd nic does not show up in rt click network properties
below is the ipconfig /all
However, although it says DHCP Enabled "No" I have checked services and it
is automatic and started.
Also I checked the DHCP on the router and it is disabled
So I am a bit confused.

Is the second NIC disabled??? or just not connected?
On the server, from a command prompt, run "ipconfig /all" and paste the
results here
Is the SBS server doing DHCP or someother device?

Hello Cris
Thanks for the prompt reply
Although the server has 2 nics, only one is connected to the network (we
are not using a 2 nic installation)
Regards
Auni

How many nics in the server? What are "they" connected to?

Hello
I have a client with a Dell Power Edge 2800, Server, 2 qty 2.8GHz
processors and with 4GB Memory and 72GB Scsi hard disk
We have SBS 2003 Standard with sp1
The remote access is very sluggish with having to wait for the cursor
to appear or highlight to appear
This slugishness happens randomly. eg for a while it is ok then it is
sluggish then ok
I don't think it is an broadband issue because it happens from 2
different remote sites.
Are there any trouble shooting steps I can take eg switching on logs
etc.on the server?
Any help greatly appreciated
.
