hi :)
i've setup a vpn connection so that remote users can acces their networkmaps
and administrative programs
Connection + authentication VPN users are OK
they get an internal IP adres from the remote location
the problem is that they cannot access their local resources
i cannot ping the server/ firewall
the only thing i can access is the networkprinter( i get a ping respons and
can access the printerconfiguration webpage)
configuration
HP Proliant with Windows server 2003 sbs SP2
Firewall/VPN device = D-Link dfl-210
PPTP server configured on dfl-210
Symantec Corporate edition 10.2
Windows firewall on server disbabled
no exchange
users not using roaming profiles
i've checked the VPN configuration on the DFL-210 with the D-link technical
support team. they told me that the configuration is OK
plz can someone give me advise how solve this problem. did i forgot
something ?
What DNS is being used during the VPN? If you are not using the SBS Box
as your DNS then you won't see the devices by name.
A VPN that ends at an appliance is different that one that ends at SBS
in that you don't do domain authentication when you end at the
Appliance.
Can you ping the server by name?
