Then you dont want to install it.

If you want to have this server working properly then you need to install
all disks, do not stop on disk 1 then this will take 5 hrs plus... got all
those updates too.

SBS wants to work one way and you want to 'break it' so you will get
problems.

Why did you buy it ?

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me how many hours they think it will take to configure/
implement a newly installed SBS 2003 (not including hardware setup) ?
To give you some specific details, we have 3 user computers, we are
not using the exchange features, and we will primarily use it as a
file server.

No I dont know anyone else who has 2003 sp1slip disk - and again pardon my ignorance of the SBS vernacular - what exactly is a "slip disk" - is it the later release of the server 2003 software? ... The server has been chugging away in a small business environment for several years and I have administered it for them for about a year making sure that the updates were installed and their mailboxes were managed etc etc. ... My main reason for slipstreaming the install is because I cannot get the original 2003 server install to cope with the new hardware and it falls over part way into the install - BSOD bit. ...

    ... the old array was a raid 5 that should not have become so rooted but the twit who built the server did not actually enable the spare drive to act as a spare!! ...
