server has dhcp and working properly. all workstations can get ip adress from
server. all of them can ping srever, they can query dns and exploring
internet via server.
when i try to connect shared files from workstations it takes so long time.
when i try to logon from workstations it takes nearle 15mins.
finally when i try to join to domain any workstation i am getting the error
which i wrote before.

Is this a workstation that you are trying to join to the domain?.
Are you using the connectcomputer method?
Have you verified that the computer is getting an IP address from the SBS
server?
Can the workstation ping the SBS server by IP and host name?

Hi. i installed sbs2003 and i installed r2 after that i started to get this
error when i tried to join domain. And login process was very slow.
i got this error when i try join domain.
***************************************************
DNS was successfully queried for the service location (SRV) resource record
used to locate a domain controller for domain dts-engineering.local:
The query was for the SRV record for
_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.dts-engineering.local
The following domain controllers were identified by the query:
zeus.dts-engineering.local
Common causes of this error include:
- Host (A) records that map the name of the domain controller to its IP
addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.
- Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or
are not running.
