Re: SBS connect computer Assign user and migrate profiles

Hi,
There's a log file called sbsnetsetup.log thats created when you run connectcomputer. This can point you to the exact files that are the problem. It's worth a look.

I I have been trying to Assign users to a client computer and migrate the files with the Connect Computer wizard in SBS. But I keep getting the following message which I have shortened:

"The following user settings are private: User name.
Client Setup cannot migrate private user settings.

That I have to make them public and how to do it. Which I have done.

I have made sure that make private is not selected on every folder of the user in the Documents and Settings folder. Their user name folder, and sub folders. I also turned off Simple File sharing and tried setting all the folders to Everyone with full access, and added the users name in the security and permissions and it doesn't help.

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
