Hi All,

Strange problem.

Main site SBS2003.

Remote site has hardware site to site VPN tunnel to main site and half
a dozen or so PC's

Remote site now has the company's first Windows Vista systems.
(yikes !)

At the remote site the Windows Vista systems have Office 2003/Outlook
2003 installed

I can setup the profile, hit the server, resolves just fine.

But try as I might I cannot get Outlook 2003 to do a send receive.

When you login to Outlook 2003 is says 'Connected'.

When I do a Send/Receive I get:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x80040115) : The
connection to the
Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or
connected to complete this action.

I can also ping the IP of the server, the server NETBIOS name and also
the FQDN server name.

ie

192.168.16.2
SERVERNAME
servername.domain.local

All respond OK.

Curiously other Windows XP PC's with Outlook 2003 at the remote site
all work just fine.

So it must be a Windows Vista thing I guess.

Seem to be seing that I'm not the only person with this issue and it
would apepar to be happening on people's LAN's as well not just over
VPN from different subnets.

Can't be a network config otherwise the Windows XP systems wouldn't
work.

BTW I also had the old EULA keep appearing every time I started any
Office 2003 apps problem regards Vista and Office 2003, found a MS KB
article which resolved that one.

Anyone any ideas on my Outlook 2003 connection problem ?

Jim.
