well, i can't telnet to port 25, i'm sure because bellsouth has the
port blocked. the customer is upgrading to business DSL, which should
allow traffic on port 25. however, in the meantime, i still need to
get outbound email working. as of now, all email is stuck in the
queue in a retry state. can someone point me to the exchange logs so
i can take a look at what's going on? thanks everyone for your
replies.

Mailhop Outbound from Dyndns.com will allow you to send on port 2525
if you can receive on port 25. To Test have someone NOT on Bellsouth
(maybe a cable customer) Telnet yourip 25 and see if they connect.
I have used Dyndns for 4 years on port 2525 and never had a message
bounce due to problems on my end.
I can vouch for 'em too. I love dyndns.
All in favor say "ey"
