Re: WSUS v2 Blue Shield

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I keep run through this exactly as you say. Uninstall wsus v3, uninstall R2,
delete wsus folders and remove any GPOs.

Ran the R2 install again but still get an error and incomplete install
message. The WSUS folder has created, GPOs created but the Update Services is
missing from the Server Management Panel.

Apart from referecing my previous error log posts for the the R2_Setup.log,
these are the only error messages I cen see from the newest log:

Also looking through the Event Viewer I've also noticed the following errors
which I think relate to WSUS at the time of uninstalling.

Event ID: 11321
Product: Windows Small Business Server Update Services -- Error 1321. The
Installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file:
E:\Inetpub\UpdateServices\Global.asax.

Event ID: 1020
Product: Windows Small Business Server Admin - Update
'{919AD45B-404A-49EC-9CEB-D473A8EEDC2B}' could not be removed. Error code
1647. Additional information is available in the log file C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Integration\Windows Small Business Server
2003\Logs\SBSMSI-RemoveR2.log.
