Hi,
Am having problems with a sbs server running at snails pace.. Accessing
shares remotely is slow, sometimes taking 5-10 mins to log into a client pc
etc, and also if logged into the server itself i often experience "lags",
where the server stops responing for 20-30 seconds. Sometimes opening
programs can take 1-2 mins on the server. The spec of the server should be
ok, 2gb ram, 2.6ghz cpu. Anyone have any ideas where i should start with
diagnosing this? According to task manager, cpu is never above 20%, ram is
usually sitting at about 750mb free.
You most likely have something other than SBS doing DHCP and/or your
workstations do not have the proper DNS information.
Post an IPConfig /ALL from the server and a workstation that is having
the problem.
