Re: SBS2003 SP1 PE - problem with unruly client

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,

Thanks for updating.

I am sorry for misunderstanding you concern.

Generally speaking, when you have both Wireless and Ethernet Nics, you
should disable one when using another. Because the 2 are all point to SBS
server, the Outlook and IE don't know choose which Nic.

To narrow down this issue, we need first disable Wireless NIC, leaving only
Ethernet Nic working.

You can try the following:

1. Ping FQDN_SBS, if this fails, the DNS cannot resolve the name
successfully.
2. Ping Companyweb, can you see any errors?
3. Can you visit other websites successfully?

To access DNS, please click Start'All Program Files'Administrative
Tools'DNS.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)
