Hello Brian,
Thank you for your kind update.
Now, I think we have to find out this issue is relate to the client
computer or relate to user accounts. So please let me know the result of
the following tests:
1. Please try to logon a new computer with an old good user account, will
the printer be installed correct?
2. Please try to logon a new computer with an new user account, will the
printer be installed correct?
3. Please try to logon an old computer with an new user account, will the
printer be installed correct?
4. Please try to logon an old computer with an old user account, will the
printer be installed correct?
Based on my research, I suggest you try the following steps:
a. Please open Server Management console on SBS
b. Extend to Client Computers node, click Assign Applications to Client
Computers link in right panel
c. Click Next, select all computers you want to install printer in left
pane, click Add button, click Next
d. Click Advanced button, ensure you tick the Printers option, click OK
e. Click Next and finish the wizard
f. Restart the client computers. Does the printer be installed correct?
If no, I suppose your printer do not install correctly on your SBS. Do you
do any change on the printer recently?
Please try to uninstall the printer from the SBS, reboot the SBS, and
reinstall the printer on your SBS again. And ensure the printers are listed
in AD: Start menu->Printers and Faxes->printer properties->Sharing tab,
ensure tick the option List in the directory. Then, test this issue.
Hope the steps help.
Thanks and have a nice day.
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
