Re: Changing router IP's

Somehow it's working now frm the server and workstations. Verified settings
on NIC's, reran CEICW, paying attention to IP's for each setting, updated
DDNS account with dyndns.org, and re-entered login & password for DYNDNS.org
in ESM's SMTP Connector.

Your issue could be with the T1 line. I assume that you didn't change the
IP address of the the gateway on SBS which points to the internal address
of the router. The external IP address of the router is the static IP
address which you put on the router as you should.

Make sure that the T1 is active first. If it is, start by pinging the
router (internal address). If the ping is succesful, ping an external IP
address. See what the results are

Running SBS 2003 Premium.
======================
I have a short-term opportunity to use a T1 line (have been using
satellite). It has a fixed IP and gateway. I went into my router's
setup last night and set it for a static IP using the info for the T1.
Reran CEICW and updated my record at dyndns.org.

Didn't work. We were cutoff.

Reset the router this morning and figured I better quit experimenting and
ask this NG.

Q: What step(s) do I take to change the IP in this situation?

Many thanks in advance!
