WSUS 3 on SBS --- errors ASP.NET

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

So I have tried to install today the WSUS 3 on our SBS 2003 R2 STD ---in lab
it worked no problem. Once I begun the install on our production server --
issues started poping up. I was unable to install the WSUS as I have
received this error:

Once I clicked OK to confirm .. another message : There is a problem with
this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not
fisnish as expected. Contact your Support personnel or package vendor.

2nd time click OK and final message that the WSUS 3 setup did not complete

So my old WSUS 2 has been removed. Do I need only run the R2 technologies CD
to get back my WSUS ?
