RE: RWW, OWA, mobile device sync mystery

Hello,

Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

From your description, I know your OWA and RWW stop working every 2 or 3
months. After you reboot the server, OWA and RWW begin to work. If I am
off-base, please don't hesitate to let me know.

First, please understand that our newsgroup is an issue based service,
meaning we usually respond to one question/issue per post. It is
recommended you create a new thread so that the dedicated MS engineer can
help you on the Treo devices synchining problem. Thank you for your
understanding!

Since the problem occurs every 2 or 3 months and there is no logs related
the services failure, the problem may be more complex and time-consuming.
Thanks for your understanding.

Please let me know the following to make the situation more clearly:

1. Do OWA and RWW fail at the same time?
2. Do the OWA and RWW fail for all the external users or some specific ones?
3. What the detail error message when you visit OWA and RWW?
4. When the error occurs, can you visit OWA and RWW from LAN?
5. When the error occurs, can you visit the server via VPN from Internet?

Pease help me collect the following information for further research:

1. MPS Report

1) Download MPS report tool from:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.EXE
2) Run the MPSRPT_SETUPPerf.exe on the server box.
3) Wait for 10~15 minutes.
4) Open Windows explorer, navigate to
%SYSTEMROOT%\MPSReports\Setup\Reports\cab\
5) Send the .cab file to us.

2. the date when error occurred

Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)
