Migration of workstations to renamed domain and server name?
We will be rebuilding a Windows SBS domain and changing both the
domain name and the name of the server used for sharing both printers
and files. It is all one physical machine since it is SBS.
What is the most efficient way to update the workstations to work with
the new domain and server names?
I guess we can use USMT to move user profiles, but the mapped
printers, paths to network shares, Exchange mailbox etc. would still
referencing the old shares and the paths to shares would reference the
old server name.
How can we automate updating all these paths without having to
manually search for references to the old server and old domain name
on each workstation?
