Create a ODBC connection with the credentials and at the end of the
configuration is a TEST CONNECTION button.

We have a client setting up a database for their contact and time
management requirements.

Created a new login via Security\Logins: myuser
Uses SQL Server Authentication and password is set: myuserpassword00
Defaults: Database: Mydb, Language: English
Server Roles: None
Database Access: Mydb is checked
Database roles for 'myuser'
public (checked)
db_owner (checked)

In SQL Manager via the SBS Server Management - Advanced:
Setup the database under the databases folder (Default Instance): Mydb
Users shows: dbo (Permit), guest (Via group membership), myuser
(Permit)

The guy doing the db stuff apparently can't connect to the db.

I can see his attempts via the ISA live query. ISA allows SQL traffic
into the server with no issues.

How do I test connectivity to that database using the above user
credentials on the SBS box and on a workstation on the SBS domain please?

osql commands?

Thanks in advance!
